PROSTART

 

ProStart/Culinary Arts is a career based high school program, developed by the National Restaurant Association.

ProStart provides high school students a jumpstart in the fields of Hospitality, Management, & Culinary Arts.

From culinary techniques to business management skills, ProStart’s industry-driven curriculum provides real-life

experiences, builds practical skills, and produces cross-training for other fields of employment. 

Industry leaders support this program and recognize the value of skills acquired in ProStart.

ProStart students have a platform to discover new interests and talents, opening doors for fulfilling careers.

Students will earn high school credits, college credits, industry-based certifications, and ServSafe credentials.

SouthLouisiana Community College (SoLaCC) also offers a Technical Diploma option through dual enrollment.
