The College and Career Readiness Center (CCRC) Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) and thirty Saint Martinsville High School students journeyed to Louisiana State University (LSU) where they received a capabilities briefing from the LSU Air Force ROTC Commander. All cadets and students also received an LSU admissions briefing followed by a guided campus tour. This College visit is designed to educate and inspire cadets and students to fulfill their dreams of going to college through either the military route or the traditional route. CCRC JROTC program has scheduled trips with Breaux Bridge Senior High Students and Cecilia High School students .
One to one computer initiative began in 2016. It now spans from 5th grade students to high school.

The U.S. District Court has entered an order in the District's desegregation case which includes changes in the Catahoula, St. Martinville, Parks, and Breaux Bridge attendance zones as well as improvements in the Majority-to-Minority transfer program, among other things.
